Ella Wilhelm, Soprano
Ella Wilhelm is a Montreal-based soprano, voice and piano teacher. In 2006 she graduated from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance with a Masters Degree in Voice, from the classes of Mme Bibiana Goldenthal and Zvi Zemel. In 2018 she completed her Masters Degree in Voice and Opera at McGill University under the guidance of Professor Stefano Algieri. During these studies, Ella's musical training was supported by prestigious scholarships- the America-Israel Cultural Foundation in 2004 and 2006, the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Danse Scholarship in 2005, and the Mariana Paunova and Stefano Algieri Scholarship in Voice from McGill University in 2017/2018.
Ella Wilhelm sang as a soloist with the Raanana Orchestra, the Jerusalem Camerata, the Netanya Kibbutz Chamber Orchestra, the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, the Ensemble Barrocade, and the Ensemble Phoenix.
Her singing experience also includes numerous performances as a choir singer with the Tel-Aviv Opera Choir and the Israeli Philharmonic Singers, under the baton of conductors such as: Zubin Mehta, Daniel Oren, Kurt Masur, Andrew Parrot, Gabor Hollerung, Dan Ettinger, Aharon Harlap, Shalev Ad-El, Ronen Borshevsky, and others.
Ella Wilhelm took part as a soloist and ensembles member in festivals in Israel, such as Abu-Gosh Festival, Felicia Blumenthal Music Festival, Yehiam Renaissance Music Festival, Jerusalem Sacred Music Festival, and Canadian Contemporary Music Days. Her professional experience includes various recitals in Israel and Canada, as well as concerts in Israel, Germany, Holland and Canada.
